The ideal space between a mirror and the furniture below it is six to eight inches if your furniture is approximately 35 inches high.

Hang your dining room mirror on the wall nearest to your table to give the room a brighter more open look and feel.
3 hang using picture wire.
4 measure where your hangers should go on the wall.
Use anchors if the bottom cleat isn t lined up over wall studs.
At this height you ll be able to see your reflection from head to feet.
For a large mirror start around 12 inches a standard ruler and adjust from there.
With the mirror propped against the wall or lying face down raise the wire up to make it taut and identify two points that will distribute the pressure equally across the wire.
For a rough idea count on hanging your mirror approximately 57 to 65 inches off the floor.
If the height of your furniture is below 35 inches then an eight to 12 inch space is ideal.
You don t want them too close together.
Hangers and hooks are also rated by weight so select those that are designed to hold the weight of your mirror.
Like all mirrors in the house you should hang it at eye level.
